The Upper New River
The Upper section is scenic with easy to moderate, Class I to Class III rapids. Also called the Grand Canyon of the East this scenic section of the New River has a variety of flora and fauna and interesting wildlife. Historical sites can also be found along the river dating back 300 million years ago making it the second oldest river in the world.
